III. Auditory Demonstrations

The following series of demonstrations originally appeared on a CD that accompanied the second edition of Auditory Perception: A New Analysis and Synthesis by Richard M. Warren, published in 1999 by Cambridge University Press.

It is replicated here for the convenience of visitors to our website. It is also provided here as an accompaniment to the forthcoming third edition of the afore mentioned text.

The stimuli and descriptive narration were produced by Dr. James A. Bashford, Jr.

The demonstrations were designed for headphone listening, and since some of the effects involve different signals delivered to each ear, stereo headphones are recommended.
