SARUP Computer Resources

Connecting to the SARUP servers

Computer Lab in AUP 158

The SARUP servers are Windows based, and can be accessed by 'mapping a drive' in windows. To do this, open an explorer window (e.g. My Computer), and choose "Map Network Drive" from the "Tools" menu. Choose a letter you would like to assign to this location, and in the folder box, type in the path to the location you wish to go to. If you are on an e3 desktop, you will directly connect; if not, you will need to enter your login name and password.

Example of login: YourPanthermailLogin@ad.uwm.edu.

Below are listed common locations, and the letters we generally use in the SARUP computer labs:

General Resources
R: \\129.89.71.66\resources

Architecture Class Folders
T: \\129.89.71.66\classes

Urban Planning Class Folders
U: \\129.89.71.52\classes

Off Campus Access to the SARUP servers use the UWM VPN

http://vpn.imt.uwm.edu/

After you install and connected with the UWM VPN Software. You should be able to map drive to the SARUP servers.

When you are asked for user account:  Your use "YourPatherMailLogin@ad.uwm.edu" and use your normal Panther password.
