Professional Experience
Design architect for a variety of residential, commercial and institutional
projects in collaboration with several architectural firms in the Milwaukee
area.
Research Interests
Islamic architecture and urban design in North Africa, Middle East, India,
and Central Asia. Since 1985 he has published and lectured widely on
subjects relating to Islamic design principles such as geometry and
traditional building practices. These have influenced his work as a teacher
as well, in respect to theoretical subjects and their application within
design studios.
