Study in Italy - San Gemini
Historic Preservation

Professor Max Cardillo
Professor Nikos Vakalis
Greg Thomson

The Program’s courses are aimed at architects, planners, art historians, museum curators, historians, engineers, and other individuals who will be involved in the planning, management and study of cultural heritage.

The program is organized around classroom courses, travel, field research and field projects. These projects offer students hands-on experience (the most effective way to learn).

Another important aspect of our study is travel. Italy offers a rich experience from a cultural and historical point of view. Students travel throughout central Italy to visit places of general cultural and historical interest along with visits to sites currently undergoing professional restoration.
