| This is a 40-hour program for those who work with youth in residential, treatment and out-of-home care-settings. This class blends theory and best practice while addressing the skills, approaches, and relationships for working with children and youth. The emphasis is on working with At- Risk youth from an interactive, developmental perspective. The curriculum presents fundamental concepts, practices, and competencies in child and youth care as practiced with youth who face special risks and challenges.
