| Details: | The UWM Jazz Studies program hosts the third annual Woody Herman Educational Jazz Workshops for middle (November 5) and high school (November 6) jazz ensembles and a College Jazz Festival (November 7). Students will participate in clinics, master classes and full ensemble sessions; special activities for ensemble directors.
Public events include:
November 6, 2009, 9:30 pm-1 am: A jazz gig at the Jazz Estate, 2423 N. Murray Ave., on Friday, November 7, 2009, from 9:30 pm-1 am. Jim Pulice and several UWM artists will perform as the Woody Herman All Stars. (Cover applies.)
November 7, 2009
7:30 pm: Concert with UWM Youth Jazz Ensembles I & II, and the UWM and UW-Madison Jazz Ensembles with special guest percussionist Joe Pulice. Tickets: $10 general/$7 students, seniors & UWM alumni, faculty & staff. (Bader Concert Hall) |
