Details:U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will give the 40th Annual Morris Fromkin Memorial Lecture on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 4 p.m. in the fourth floor Conference Center of the Golda Meir Library. The title of his lecture is "Wisconsin's Progressive Tradition and a Century of Reform."

Senator Feingold (D-WI) was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1992 after a 10-year career in the Wisconsin State Senate. In his long career as a legislator, Senator Feingold has been actively involved in numerous social justice issues, including health care reform, education, civil liberties, and immigration reform.

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Morris Fromkin Collection of American Social Justice at the UWM Libraries.

The lecture, sponsored by the UWM Libraries, is free and open to the public. Public parking is available in the UWM Union and Klotsche Pavilion parking garages. For more information, call (414) 229-4345.
