M. Swimming. Milwaukee Men Split With UIC And North Dakota
Junior Matt Kluczinske, sophomore Jake Koll and freshman Nathan Welchlin all recorded individual victories to highlight the efforts of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's swimming & diving team at a triangular meet Saturday afternoon in Chicago. The Panthers ended the day with a split, falling to defending Horizon League champion UIC by a score of 163-136 while also recording a 219.5-67.5 victory over North Dakota. Several close second-place finishes against UIC led the strong showing against the Fighting Sioux.

W. Swimming. Milwaukee Sweeps UIC, Butler and North Dakota In Quad Meet
Senior Kerry Rossow and juniors Kelsey George and Danielle Wenger each won two events each to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's swimming & diving to a sweep of a quad meet Saturday afternoon in Chicago. The Panthers earned victories of 185-114 over UIC, 166-133 over North Dakota and 277-22 over Butler University. Freshman Maggi Beck also posted a win as the team ended the weekend with an impressive 4-0 mark.

W. Volleyball. Panthers Control Play In Win Over First-Place Vikings
Jena Berg and Maddie Sueppel had 14 kills apiece to lead a balanced attack as the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee claimed a 27-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-18 win over first-place Cleveland State Saturday afternoon at the Klotsche Center. The Panthers (11-14, 8-6 Horizon) have now won six-straight matches. UWM hit a solid .216 in the match while limiting the Vikings (24-7, 12-3) to a .106 hitting clip. In fact, Milwaukee dominated nearly every statistical category, winning the battle in kills (64-47), digs (75-55) and blocks (13-11). Kerri Schuh added 13 kills and Mary Beth O'Brien pitched-in with 11 for the Panthers. Milwaukee also had four players reach double figures in digs, led by 20 apiece from Berg and Lauren Felsing.

W. Soccer. Panthers Get Past Loyola, Advance To League Title Game
Sophomores Makenzie Gillaspie and Sarah Hagen each scored goals to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Loyola in the 2009 Horizon League Championship semifinals Friday evening at Engelmann Field.With their ninth-straight win, the top-seeded Panthers (11-5-3) advance to Sunday's league championship game. They will face No. 3 Valparaiso in their 11th title game appearance in 16 years. The Crusaders got past No. 2 Wright State, 2-1, in the day's first semifinals matchup. Sunday's championship game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Engelmann Field. The winner receives the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers are in search of a second-straight tourney berth and the seventh in school history.

W. Swimming. Panthers Run Win Streak Against Wheaton College To Eight
Both relay teams and six different members of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's swimming team recorded individual victories to send the team past Wheaton College Friday at Chrouser Pool. The Panthers won, 140-62, to record their eighth-straight win in the series and also to improve to 16-3 all-time against the Thunder. Senior Kerry Rossow, juniors Danielle Wenger and Katelyn Brittain, sophomores Sarah Wardecke and Heidi Niespodzany and freshman Parker Watson all recorded wins to highlight the non-conference dual meet, as UWM won eight of 11 events on the night.
