Proposed Work Plan

Meetings of entire group on a monthly basis – very tentative outline of topics below. Work groups meet 1-2 per month as needed. The outline is rather ambitious to allow for dicussion in the spring semester about planning into the future.

August 25: General Accreditation Kickoff Meeting

  • Discuss plan, calendar, and expectations
  • Initial discussion on imaging UWM’s future

September 9: Organize into groups around criteria components

  • Groups on trends, resources, assessment, planning
  • Initial discussion within groups

October 14: Meeting with administrative and governance representatives

  • Possible individuals: Ruth Williams, Mike Rupp, Don Weill
  • Chairs of the University Comm., APBC, Academic Staff Comm., etc.

November 11: Meeting with administrative and governance representatives (cont.)

December 9: Two group reports

  • Outline of ideas (past, present, future)
  • Include listing of evidence

January: Two group reports (cont.)

February: Reorganize into work groups around themes

  • Themes: organization that is future-oriented, learning-focused, connected, and distinctive
March: Identify issues for UWM’s future

April: Develop recommendations

May: Report review

June: Committee report due
