NCA Accreditation All Teams Meeting Minutes
September 14, 2004, 11:30 – 1:30pm
CHA Regents Room
Meeting began with Rita thanking everyone involved in
the Self Study.
Introduced
the Steering Committee members.
A
light lunch was prepared and served before actual meeting
began.
Rita showed
Powerpoint slides of the Assessment of Student Learning,
NCA Accreditation Timeline and the Chancellor Talking
Point.
Trying to put
draft into one document. Trying to identify where we need
to sort out areas before it reaches the public.
The report
is due in February 2005. Will work on site building through
the winter and spring.
Discussed all
teams strengths and challenges
Discussion
of findings, plans for campus launch and forthcoming dialogue,
and the preparation for the site visit April 25-27, 2005.

together foundation document.

has to do with administration procedures
Team 2 - Mark

a framework for strategic planning

a budget plan setup (ex. 10 years)

put together based on each subcommittee
- Claudia
and Tony are working on putting together the next
phase of report
Team 4 - Dave
Petering
- Approach
was to write as strong a group of faculty across campus
as necessary
- This
is only one component of the survey.
Team 5 - Audrey
Begun
- Difficulty
was the University doesn't have a good system. Tremendous
decolage on how Engagment is looked at across Campus.
- The number
of opportunties for students to learn about Engagement.
Rita stated:
Our strategy is to make sure each team report stays in
tact.
Reviewed the
timeline.
Barbara Walvoord
is due here on October 8.
There will
be two workshops:
A.M. Workshop
for Chairs & Directors
P.M. Worshop
for GE Assessment Group
How is this
being put out there
Put on web
with feedback system
Put together
several cross team groups of proofers
Everyone should
be there for site visit forums. Sttering Committee will
stay focused on the site visit.
