Kathy Barber provides secretarial and administrative support to the Associate Vice Chancellor for academic programs/technology and the Associate Vice Chancellor for undergraduate student affairs/budgets and planning.

She is responsible for calendering and scheduling meetings, production of correspondence and providing support in the areas of program development and review.

She provides extensive support in two areas:

  • Academic misconduct (coordinates hearings and prepares correspondence for same within mandated deadlines; responds to inquiries regarding interpretation of rules, policies, and procedures from deans, faculty, staff, students and the public); and
  • the Academic Program and Curriculum Committee (support for all aspects of the Committee's work, including acting as liaison between individual schools and colleges and campus administration on all types of academic program and curriculum matters and preparing the Committee's annual report).

Kathy Barber has worked in the provost's office for 16 years. She previously worked at UWM as a word processing operator in the admissions area of the Department of Enrollment Services for 3 ½ years. Before coming to UWM she was the pastry chef at the Fox and Hounds restaurant for 9 years.
