How much is the application Fee?
The graduation application fee is $40.00
The graduation fee is assessed of both graduate and undergraduate degree students at UWM and is used to defray the cost of processing candidates for graduation, printing and mailing diplomas, and conducting the commencement ceremonies held each May and December.
When will I be billed?
You will be billed the $40.00 graduation fee by the Bursar's Office sometime during the semester If you have outstanding library fines, parking fines, or other fines your graduation fee will be applied to your older outstanding obligations first. If you would like to verify charges on your student financial record log onto PAWS , click on Financial Services and view your account.
What is the fee for Dual Degrees?
Dual Degree students pay an $80.00 graduation fee.
If you will be receiving two degrees, you must submit an application and fee for each degree.
Do I have to pay the fee if I am not attending the graduation ceremony?
Participation in commencement is optional. Students must pay the graduation fee regardless of their participation or lack of participation in the commencement ceremony.
The graduation fee is required whether or not you choose to attend the ceremony.
Does the graduation fee cover the cost of my cap and gown?
The graduation fee offsets the costs associated with the commencement ceremony, diplomas and diplomas covers. The graduation fee does not cover the cost of the cap and gown worn at commencement.
