It’s exciting to share a bit about myself so you can get a sense of who I am before we work together. I’m a Minnesota native living now in the Twin Cities area, but I’ve had the opportunity to live all across the United States thanks to my husband’s and my jobs. I’m a mom of three, with two currently in college and the other in high school. My kids are an important part of how I work as a UWM advisor, because I’ve experienced firsthand the excitement and fear of college decisions on the kids and as a parent going through it.
On a professional level, I’ve been fortunate to have had several fulfilling careers (all of which have prepared me in different ways to work as an Admissions Advisor). Prior to coming to UWM, I was working in the public high school setting, coordinating the College & Career Center at Wayzata High School (in Plymouth, MN.)
My goal in college admissions is to help students find the best school or program for THEM! I know that UW Milwaukee can be a great fit for lots of kids and I welcome the chance to tell you about it, but if it’s not, that’s o.k. too. Let me help you explore all the options out there—that’s the fun and challenge of this work! Talk to you soon.
