Health.Patrick's activities encompass
the three areas of academic medicine:education, research and clinical care.His primary areas of research are
in preventive cardiology, risk factors, and the quality of cardiovascular
disease prevention in practice.He has
written or contributed to over 100 publications on heart disease risk and
prevention.He is a leader in developing
and implementing statewide teaching programs on cardiovascular risk factors for
physicians, nurses, dietitians, and physician's assistants, and he has received
numerous local and national teaching awards.Recently, Patrick was named President of the Heart Disease and Stroke
Alliance for the State of Wisconsin Division of Health.
