Justin Paul ('11) and Katelyn ('11)

Campus Love Story: "I met the love of my life at UWM in 2010 and I couldn't be happier. I was a part of a group project for a class with a couple of other students. Our group decided to work on our project at the famed Gausthaus in the basement of the Union. One of the persons in the group decided to bring a friend along, thinking that this assignment would not take very long and that she could hang out with her friend after our group was finished. She was so beautiful and seemed really interested in what we were doing. I was determined to find out more about her and see if anything would happen. After our group had finished, I asked the person in our group who brought the friend if I could stay and hang out and know more about her friend. She said yes and we hung out the entire evening talking about UWM, sports, her life, my life, and our interests.

At the end of the night  I asked Katelyn for her phone number and she greatly gave it to me. Before I even got home that night, she sent me a text saying that she enjoyed meeting me and wanted to see me again soon. I knew then that this was going to be something special. After a few short dates, I garnered up the courage to ask her to become my girlfriend. We both graduated from UWM in Dec. 2011, and have been to many Panther games since, enjoying our time at UWM and thankful that we both decided to attend this school. I still consider myself the luckiest guy on the face of the earth and she treats me so great! Our relationship is stronger than ever and I owe it all to UWM."
