Lisa Manske ('92, '94) and David Misky ('92, '94)

Campus Love Story: "Lisa Manske and I first met at the Klotsche Center where I would sometimes scrimmage with the Women's Basketball team. She roomed with a couple of the Panther players and would also scrimmage with the team. However, it was not until I returned from a junior-year study abroad that our relationship truly began. We often studied, as part of larger group of friends, on the 4th floor of Golda Meir overlooking Sandburg Hall. She was studying her School of Ed classes and I was studying my science courses, or as she likes to remember, "my fish class." I finally had the nerve to ask her out and our first date was a Neil Diamond concert and dinner at the original Beans & Barley nearly 20 years ago to the day. At 21 years old, we had to have been the youngest fans in the
Bradley Center by 30 years. Our love has lasted through the years and this summer we will celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. Our commitment to each other has grown and been strengthened by our commitment to our community where we both work to improve the lives of our city residents."
