UWM offers a range of resources to alumni looking for employment or
considering graduate school.
UWM alumni looking for employment should know that announced jobs make up only some 15-20% of the actual opportunities available in any geographical area. If you find an excellent match, apply. Remember, however, that having a contact inside the organization to which you’re applying may help you significantly. Try to find a friend, family member or UWM alum who can provide you information or even serve as your advocate and aide. (Learn more about professional networking.)
Also, be sure to make an appointment with the UWM alumni career counselor if you’d like help with the job search process.
PantherJobsAlumni have free access to PantherJobs, UWM's primary resource for connecting UWM alumni with employers. PantherJobs includes local, national and international positions and jobs for those with 0-2 years experience as well as those with 3 years+ experience. PantherJobs also offers employer research tools and includes access to PantherNet, a network of UWM alumni and other professionals willing to offer alumni career advice, resume review and other assistance. For a fee, PantherJobs Plus allows alumni to upload their resumes and post their resumes to resume books.
