All you need is a telephone and a computer to participate!
Somewhere between 48 and 70% of jobs are found through networking. Beyond letting friends and family know you're job hunting, what else can you do? In this one-hour telephone seminar, Cindy Petrites of UWM Alumni Career Services will offer strategies and resources to help you learn:
· do’s and don’ts for effective networking
· how to compose and deliver an effective elevator speech and adapt it to various situations
· how to find the people you want to network with and maximize the network you haveThe seminar will be conducted by telephone, and will last one hour. After you register, you will receive call-in instructions for the phone call, and information on how to download the PowerPoint presentation. (Note: you can print out the PowerPoint ahead of time; you need not be on the computer during the phone call)
