Benefits for Sustaining Contributors (formerly “Life Members”)

Become a sustaining contributor by making a one-time $500 payment to the UWM Alumni Association. (If you were a life member prior to the UWMAA becoming a dues-free organization on July 1, 2005, you're now considered a sustaining contributor.)

You'll receive all of the benefits enjoyed by all of our alumni, and you'll also receive these special benefits:

Privileges at the Golda Meir Library
Enjoy special privileges at the Golda Meir Library, one of Wisconsin's largest academic libraries with more than 5 million catalogued items. Explore the world-renowned American Geographical Society and its comprehensive collection of maps. Simply present your Alumni card at the Library Circulation Desk and request a borrower's card. The Library may be reached at 414-229-4132, and at Golda Meir Library's Web Site.

As a sustaining contributor, you will receive a special permit from the Golda Meir Library. This entitles you to:

  • Borrow books from the main collection, as well as some items from the specialized collections (curriculum and music books, limited loan of videos/DVDs, etc.)
  • Access online databases while in the library
  • Use the American Geographical Society Library, Archives/Special Collections and reference book collection
  • Ask for research assistance from reference librarians (both online and in person)

(Please note: No remote online access is allowed for most databases nor is there access to the library's computer labs unless you are enrolled at or employed by UWM.)

Klotsche Center
UWMAA sustaining contributors may present their membership card for a reduced-price membership at the Klotsche Fitness Center. Spouses and children of members may also join at low additional fees.

UWM Connection (our free monthly e-newsletter)
Join the 10,000 alumni who keep up on upcoming events and great benefits available for you by subscribing to our e-mail newsletter. We produce it with pride on the first of each month.

UWM Today
Published three times a year for alumni and friends of UWM, UWM Today provides news about the UWMAA, the University, upcoming events and news about our alumni. We welcome your story ideas, class notes and suggestions. E-mail namack@uwm.edu.

If you're not a UWM alum but would like to be more closely associated with the UWM Alumni Association, become an Associate member!

You'll get all the benefits available to all alumni, except those offered to Sustaining Contributors.
