| Alumni Association ChaptersStay connected with UWM friends, make new friends and have fun! Each Alumni Association Chapter provides support for UWM, with most established by alumni to support their former department, college or school. You’re invited to get involved with one of the following, and if you would like to establish a Chapter not listed below, please contact Chapter Coordinator John Bartel. Existing UWM Alumni Chapters: The UWMAA also is establishing regional alumni chapters throughout Wisconsin, the United States and the world.
Regional alumni chapters provide alumni living outside of Milwaukee with the opportunity to stay connected with the university and updated on what’s taking place on the UWM campus. Chapters also provide an easy way for UWM alumni to come together in a friendly environment.
Regional alumni chapters are invited to host periodic social events, ranging from baseball outings to wine and cheese receptions to attending theatre events and museum tours, as well as summer send-off socials for incoming students and their parents. They bring together UWM alumni, encourage alumni activities in their community and promote the interests and welfare of UWM.
To help these chapters operate as efficiently and effectively as possible, the Alumni Relations Department offers suggestions, guidelines and responsibilities. Learn more about starting a chapter by contacting John Bartel at 414-906-4665, jwbartel@uwm.edu.
