ADVISING: Advisors' Mission

AOC's advisors serve educationally disadvantaged and underrepresented students during their initial semesters of enrollment at UWM. We do this by providing intrusive and intensive academic advising, and by offering support and guidance to students who have academic potential, but whose prior education may not have adequately prepared them for college. In this way, we seek to foster success by creating a student-friendly and student-focused environment in which we facilitate the retention of students.
