The amounts listed on the following fee schedules do not include any special course fees, distance education fees, or differential tuition that will be in addition to normal tuition. Consult the Fall 2012 Schedule of Classes for a complete listing.

Assessments/ Refunds for Reduction of Credit Load Percentage assessments are established by the University of Wisconsin Systems.

Fee Level: Fee level (graduate vs. undergraduate) determines the student career. Students admitted as degree or non-degree graduate students pay graduate level fees for all courses taken.

Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP): Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) is a multi-state tuition reciprocity program. Students who are legal residents of certain qualifying states and who meet all institution-specific eligibility criteria and deadlines may qualify for the MSEP tuition discount. Non-credit Courses: Fees for non-credit courses are assessed the same as regular credit course fees.

UPASS: A UPASS is a semester/ summer long pass for unlimited free use of local area commuter bus service. Fall UPASS is also valid during UWinterIM.

United Council Fee: The total segregated fees you will pay this semester include a $3.00 remittance to the United Council of University of Wisconsin Student Governments (UC). Students auditing courses only or taking courses held at off-campus locations only will not be assessed. This refundable fee was authorized by the Board of regents and approved by a student referendum at UWM.
United Council refunds may be made if requested during the 100% tuition refund period. Requests for refunds after that time must be directed to the United Council offices in Madison.
