Dr. Arnold teaches courses in financial accounting, accounting theory, and financial statement analysis. Her research in the area of critical accounting focuses on the broader social implications of accounting policy choices and the social, political and historical context in which accounting operates. Her current research is on the implications of international trade agreements for the financial and professional services.
Dr. Arnold has taught healthcare accounting at the Harvard School of Public Health and lectured on financial accounting at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She serves on the editorial board of Accounting, Organizations and Society and has authored numerous articles on the social implications of accounting in journals including Accounting, and Journal of Accounting and Public Policy.
