Dr. Freeman specializes in organization change and redesign, in particular the implementation of large-scale change efforts under conditions of threat or decline. Other research interests include managerial interpretation and its implications for organization action, as well as corporate social performance.
Professional Activities
Dr. Freeman is a member of the Academy of Management. She has presented her work on downsizing, organization change, and leadership at various scholarly conferences, as well as to professional groups and business organizations. She has served on the editorial boards of Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Executive, and Journal of Business Ethics, and has published her work in both scholarly journals and practitioner-oriented outlets.
