Yi-ching Kao
Assistant Professor, Management Information Systems
Dr. Kao specializes in the economics of information systems, especially the productivity of information technology (IT). Her dissertation focused on the impact of IT on firm performance in the professional services industry from the longitudinal and externality vantage points. She has taught courses on systems analysis and design, and business data communications.
Dr. Kao has made presentations at a number of international conferences, such as the Americas Conference on Information Systems, Workshop on Information Systems, and the Economics and American Accounting Association Annual Meeting. She has published in the Journal of Information Systems. Prior to beginning her doctoral coursework, Dr. Kao was employed as a software engineer.
