Dr. Leece primarily focuses his research on the relationship between financial reporting and the capital markets. His current research investigates how risk management practices impact financial performance.
Professional Activities
Dr. Leece is a member of the American Accounting Association (AAA) and the Financial Accounting and Reporting subsection of the AAA. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He was named a AAA-Deloitte Foundation - J. Michael Cook Doctoral Consortium Fellow in 2011. His publications include a 2012 article in the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting.
