Dr. Nazareth specializes in object-oriented software development, database management, and web-based systems development. His current research focuses on software reuse, web services, and ethics of information systems. He has taught courses in systems development, database management, electronic business systems, and decision support systems and groupware.
Dr. Nazareth’s research appears in IEEE Transactions on Knowledge & Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Systems Man and Cybernetics, Journal of Management Information Systems, Communications of the ACM, Knowledge Acquisition, International Journal of Expert Systems, Decision Support Systems, Information & Management, OMEGA, Journal of Systems and Software, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, among others. He has been involved with the development and delivery of material for updating the skills of IS professionals in the greater Milwaukee area, and has played an extensive role in the deployment of information technology for the public school system. Dr. Nazareth is active in the planning and development of new interdisciplinary programs in health care informatics. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery, the Association for Information Systems, and INFORMS. He was the Program Chair for the 1999 AMCIS Conference, and is the Finance Chair for the 2006 ICIS Conference.
