Dr. Papatla's research interests lie in the areas of consumer satisfaction, online retailing, online reputation and consumer reviews, online promotions, and pricing. His current research projects utilize statistical modeling to analyze the role of different product/service attributes in generating consumer satisfaction, to examine consumer behavior in online retailing, and to investigate the best online promotional mechanisms.
Dr. Papatla is the author of numerous publications in academic journals. He is a member of the Institute of Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS), and works with both doctoral students and businesses on projects related to his areas of expertise.
