Areas of Expertise
Dr. Schadewald specializes in international and multistate taxation. He teaches an introductory tax course at the undergraduate level, as well as graduate courses in international and multistate taxation.

Professional Activities
Professor Schadewald co-authors the Multistate Corporate Tax Guide and the Practical Guide to U.S. Taxation of International Transactions, both published by CCH Incorporated, and is also a contributing author for Prentice-Hall’s Federal Taxation series of textbooks. He has published over 40 articles in academic and professional journals, including Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of the American Taxation Association, Journal of Taxation, Tax Adviser, CPA Journal, Issues in Accounting Education, Journal of Accounting Education, International Tax Journal, Tax Notes International, Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, Journal of State Taxation, State Tax Notes, TAXES-The Tax Magazine, and Advances in Taxation.

Professor Schadewald has served on the editorial boards of Journal of the American Taxation Association, International Tax Journal, International Journal of Accounting, Journal of State Taxation, Advances in Accounting Education, Issues in Accounting Education, and Journal of Accounting Education. He has received numerous research grants and fellowships from Big-Four accounting firms, and worked in the Milwaukee office of Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young) prior to entering academics.
