Dr. Trick specializes in issues related to managerial economics. He is currently conducting research on transportation, specifically the trucking industry, as well as immigration. His research interests also include applied microeconomics, industrial organization, and labor economics.

Dr. Trick is a member of the American Economic Association and the Transportation & Public Utilities Group, an international forum for researchers and practitioners interested in the economics of and public policies towards the transportation and public utilities industries.
