Dr. Zahedi has published extensively in leading journals, including Management Science, Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Journal of MIS, Decision Sciences, Decision Support Systems, Information & Management, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, IIE Transactions, IEEE Transactions on Professional Communications, Operations Research, European Journal of Operations Research, Computers and Operations Research, Interfaces, Software Maintenance and Evolution, and Review of Economics and Statistics. She also has published extensively in refereed proceedings of major international and national conferences in the field of information systems. She is the author of two books: Intelligent Systems for Business: Expert Systems with Neural Networks and Quality Information Systems. She has served on the editorial boards of a number of journals, which currently include Information Systems Research, Canadian Journal of Administrative Science, and Information Resources Management Journal .
Dr. Zahedi has given numerous presentations at conferences, has served on the program committee of a number of premier conferences in MIS, and has served as track chair and session chair at many national and international conferences. She has consulted for firms in the public and private sectors for a number of years and has managerial experiences in IT.
Dr. Zahedi has been actively involved in multi-disciplinary grant development and has initiated the “Research Alliance Programs for Behavioral and Biological Studies in Information Technology (BBS.IT).” The goal of this alliance is create partnership with the industry to study behavioral and neurobiological issues related to the web/interface design and relational aspects of IT and the Web.
Dr. Zahedi held the position of Wisconsin Distinguished Professor in 1997-2007, and has a chaired professorship, Trisept Solutions in MIS, since 2007.
