Assistant Professor in Accounting: Taxation
The Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in Accounting-specializing in Tax-at the Assistant Professor level, starting in August 2010. Qualified candidates must have an earned doctorate in Business Administration or closely related field; have strong research potential and excellent teaching experience as evidence in teaching evaluations. Preferred qualifications include: CPA certification, quality conference presentations, and accounting practice experience. The selected candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Taxation, research, serve on assigned faculty committees, and advise students.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is a major urban university, committed to academic excellence, located in the commercial and industrial hub of Wisconsin. The campus is in a pleasant residential neighborhood on Milwaukee’s northeast side, only a few blocks from Lake Michigan. UW-Milwaukee is one of the two “doctoral cluster” campuses in the 13-campus University of Wisconsin System, with a student enrollment of approximately 25,000. The newly-dedicated Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business is accredited by the AACSB at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. It offers BBA, MBA, Executive MBA, MS and Ph.D. degree programs. A total of 74 full-time faculty members bring an impressive range of expertise to the School, with doctorates and advanced training from some of the country’s leading universities. Lubar Hall is technologically sophisticated, with all its classrooms equipped with multimedia command consoles networked to the School’s computer systems. Specific to the Accounting program, the Lubar School has a tax track in the MS–Professional Accounting Program and also an MS–Taxation degree.
