International Monetary Fund In 21st Century Focus Of October 30 Bradley Lecture


MILWAUKEE - Anne O. Krueger, First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, is the featured speaker at a Bradley Distinguished Lecture held from 12 noon - 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 30 at the Pfister Hotel, 424. E. Wisconsin Avenue. She discusses "Constant Purpose, Changing World: The IMF in the 21st Century."

Prior to assuming her position at the IMF, Dr. Krueger was the Herald L. and Caroline L. Ritch Professor in Humanities and Sciences in the Department of Economics at Stanford University. She was also the Director of Stanford's Center for Research on Economic Development and Policy Reform and a Senior Fellow of the Hoover Institution. From 1982 to 1986, she served as the World Bank's Vice President for Economics and Research. A recipient of numerous economic prizes and awards, Dr. Krueger has published extensively on policy reform in developing countries, the role of multilateral institutions in the international economy, and the political economy of trade policy.

The Bradley Distinguished Lecture Series is co-sponsored by The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Business Administration.
