UCLA's Sebastian Edwards to Examine South American and Brazilian Economy At June 2nd Bradley Lecture
MILWAUKEE – Sebastian Edwards, Henry Ford Professor of International Business Economics at UCLA will speak at the Bradley Distinguished Lecture Series from
12 noon – 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, 333 W. Kilbourn Avenue. He discusses “South America and the Growing Importance of the Brazilian Economy.”

From 1993 to 1996, Sebastian Edwards served as the Chief Economist for the Latin America and Caribbean Region of the World Bank. He is also a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and serves on California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Council of Economic Advisors. Widely published in the areas of international economics, macroeconomics, and economic development, Dr. Edwards has been a consultant to a number of multilateral institutions, including the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The Bradley Distinguished Lecture Series is co-sponsored by The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation and UWM’s Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business.
