UWM Lubar School of Business Hosts Open House March 10 MILWAUKEE – The Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is hosting an open house on Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in Lubar Hall, 3202 N. Maryland Avenue.
Lubar School Dean V. Kanti Prasad will welcome visitors and provide a brief overview of the world of business.
A series of breakout sessions will highlight the six undergraduate business majors offered at UWM: accounting, finance, human resources management, management information systems, marketing, and production and operations management. In addition, the event will feature information on study abroad opportunities unique to the Lubar School and an introduction to the School’s Business Scholars Program.
The School’s career services director will lead a discussion on business careers, as well as part-time employment and internship opportunities for students.
University representatives from the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and Residence Life will also be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Guided campus tours also will be available.
Other open house highlights include academic advising sessions, tours of the business building, and meetings with representatives of student professional business organizations.
