She has examined how ownership portfolios affect mergers and acquisitions outcomes, as well as the interrelationship between corporate governance, executive compensation and firm diversification.

Dr. Hsu’s primary teaching interest is in the area of corporate finance. His current research is focused on initial public offerings, venture capital and entrepreneurial finance, corporate governance and industrial organization.
