Windows Server Virtualization—End-to-End " is the topic of a full-day workshop at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business Center for Technology Innovation on Friday, November 6, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in Room N146, Lubar Hall, 3202 N. Maryland Ave., Milwaukee.
IT organizations are abuzz with virtualization efforts to reduce cost and increase agility. What are the benefits of virtualization, and how can organizations make the most of it? This interactive workshop explores the topic from the perspective of an organization journeying down the virtualization "road." It will review common forms of virtualization, both deployed and emerging, and then dive deeper into server virtualization scenarios using Microsoft's hypervisor technology--Hyper-V---the high-performance virtualization role included in Windows Server 2008.
The presenters, Mike Sterling and John Kelbley, are managers at Microsoft and authors of Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V: Insiders Guide to Microsoft's Hypervisor.
