CTI Workshop Focuses on “Scrum Mastering in Practice”
“Scrum Mastering in Practice” is the focus of a full-day workshop offered by the Center for Technology Innovation at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee’s Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business. The workshop takes place on Friday, October 5, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., in Room N146, Lubar Hall, 3202 N. Maryland Avenue in Milwaukee.
Scrum is a framework for organizing work that includes roles, events, artifacts, and rules. While the Scrum Master’s role may seem like that of a traditional project manager, many nuances distinguish the role. These nuances must be fundamentally appreciated in order to fully leverage the role for success.
This workshop examines the Scrum Master’s role in integrating the Product Owner role, Team role, and Organization as well as orchestrating Scrum’s Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective events within the broader context of the Organization. Those involved in Agility/Agile, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), Lean Development, or Kanban can benefit from the session.
Sinan Si Alhir of Redpoint Technologies is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Project Management Professional, and Scrum Master and is the author of three books. Len Lagestee, also a certified Scrum Master, is an Agile Practice Manager at Cars.com, where he takes an active role in the transformation from waterfall methodologies to Agile.
The cost for the workshop is $145. For a printable brochure and to register online, visit our website, or for additional information, call the Center for Technology Innovation 414-229-3992.
