Employer Resources
At the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business Career Services Center, we offer a number of programs and services to meet the recruitment needs of employers.

On-Campus Recruiting

On-campus recruitment for internships and full-time positions is handled through a system called PantherJOBS. Through this system, employers may pre-screen resumes to select candidates for interviews or use an open sign-up procedure. In the pre-screen procedure, candidates can be screened for such qualifications as degree, major, and employment status. If the candidates meet these qualifications, they are able to sign up for interviews. Open sign-up allows any student to sign up for an interview time on a first-come, first -served basis; resumes are not pre-screened. Companies can also use PantherJOBS to recruit off campus, by posting employment opportunities and receiving resumes from interested candidates. Employers are then able to select individuals they wish to interview at their office.

The major time periods for on-campus interviewing are during Spring (February-April) and during Fall (September-November). Other times can be arranged for the convenience of the employer. To schedule a date for on-campus interviews, or to obtain information regarding PantherJOBS contact the Career Services Center at careerserv@uwm.edu or (414) 229-5445. For best choice of interview dates, contact the Center prior to the start of the semester you wish to interview.

Career FairsEach semester, Career Fairs are held at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The Career Fairs offer employers the opportunity to meet informally with students and to identify individuals for possible future employment. Every Spring semester in February the Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business hosts a Business Career Fair.

Internships

Students are encouraged to gain an experience in their major field through obtaining multiple internships. A student may elect to receive academic credit for their internship experience as well as being paid. To offer an internship opportunity for business students, please contact the Career Services Center at careerserv@uwm.edu or (414) 229-5445. For your convenience, you may complete and submit the Job Posting form with details of the position.

Resume Referrals

The Career Services Center maintains an active file of resumes from business students and alumni who are interested in internships or full-time positions. Resumes are forwarded to employers by matching the areas of interest for the candidates with the position requirements of the employer.
