Multicultural Mentoring Program

Creating Connections

The Lubar School of Business Multicultural Mentoring Program, in existence since 1994, serves as an avenue for connecting multicultural business students with business professionals in the community, giving them additional insight, experience, and support in achieving their academic and career goals. The Program normally matches students majoring in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources Management, Information Technology Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Operations Management with individuals who are currently working in that discipline. Over 200 students have benefited from the Program since 2006.

Multicultural Tutoring Services

Tutoring assistance is available from several service areas on campus. The UWM Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business Tutoring Center is an academic resource available to students enrolled in pre-business and business courses. Support is also available for students in Business 201, 210, 230 and 311.

Other quantitative courses may be supported, don't hesitate to ask us! The focus of the Tutoring Center is to assist students of color, but ALL students are welcome on a space available basis. The center is staffed by upperclassmen and open year long. The hours vary from semester to semester, therefore schedules are available in the Undergraduate Student Service Offices, Room N297 and are also posted by the Tutoring Center, Room S338 in Lubar Hall.

The University sponsors Panther Academic Support Services, Bolton Hall, Room 180 and can be reached at (414) 229-2779. This service provides both group and individual tutoring for many first and second year courses.
