Advising/Registration Information Spring 2010

Undergraduate Student Services Advising hours November 16, 2009 – December 11, 2009:

All advisors will be on Walk-In Advising as follows:
Monday: 9:00-5:30 pm
Tuesday: 9:00-5:30 pm
Wednesday: 9:00-4:00 pm
Thursday: 9:00-4:00pm
**Please arrive an hour in advance to ensure you can be seen that day.


Important DatesNovember 2^nd — Spring Schedule of Classes available

November 16^th — Spring Enrollment Appointments Available on PAWS
November 23^rd — Spring Registration Begins on PAWS
December 14^th — Last day of Fall classes
December 16^th - 19^th and 21^st - 23^rd— Fall Final exams
December 20^th — Graduation
December 29^th — Fall grades should appear on PAWS

• IMPORTANT Registration, Deadline, and Course information can be found in the online Schedule of Classes: www.uwm.edu/schedule
• Check PAWS for your Enrollment Appointment. Enrollment Appointments are assigned based on the number of credits EARNED as of the date of assignment. These assignments are not subject to change. Priority is given to seniors. You can register at or after your designated registration day. Registration is available Monday-Saturday 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight and Sunday 12:00 noon - 12:00 midnight.
• To Search for General Education Course Requirements in the online Schedule of Classes follow the steps below:

1. Click on www.uwm.edu/schedule
   
2. Choose the appropriate term (i.e. Spring 2010)
   
3. Click on Advanced Search which appears in the upper right of the screen
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and use the General Education Requirement Course Search function to narrow your search by GER category, i.e. Arts, Humanities, Social Science, Natural Science (lab), Cultural Diversity, OR search by the day(s) and time the course(s) meet(s).
   

• Pay $200 tuition deposit for Spring by January 19th, 2010
  
• Seniors who plan to graduate in May or August 2010: You should apply for graduation on your PAWS account around the same time you register for Fall courses and no later than Friday, January 29, 2010.
