William Kittredge
February 19-21, 1985

William Kittredge, an award winning author of Western fiction, was co-sponsored by the Center as a writer in residence at UWM. Mr. Kittredge, pictured below, gave a reading from his work on February 19, 1985 in the UWM Union Wisconsin Room East. On February 20, he gave a discussion following the screening of Heartland, the screenplay of which he coauthored. On February 21, Mr. Kittredge participated in an open discussion which was held in the UWM Union Art Gallery.

After visiting the Center and UWM, Mr. Kittredge continued writing about the modern West and also co-produced the movie A River Runs Through It.
