Tricia Rose lectured on Black popular culture and music in Curtin Hall 175 on October 8, 1993 prior to the release of her groundbreaking book, Black Noise: Rap Music and Black Culture in Contemporary America (1994). Today, Professor Rose is a Professor of Africana Studies at Brown University and continues her intellectual sojourn in Black culture and Hip Hop music.
