Yvonne Spielmann
Lecture, "Imaging in Electronic Media"

Professor Spielmann (University of Siegen) presented her lecture in Mitchell Hall 191 on November 2, 1998. The lecture described media-specific devices at work in film and video, focusing on the means of representation of time, movement and space. At the time, Professor Speilmann was a Visiting Professor in Media Studies at the University of Paderborn and was a prolific author of articles and essays on experiment and avante-garde in film, fine arts, and electronic media, as well as history and theory of visual media. Today she is the Chair of New Media at the University of the West of Scotland.
