Monika Garbowska presented her lecture in Curtin Hall 118 on Friday, March 26, 1999. At the time she was Associate Professor in the Department of English at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland, and was conducting research in the United States as a Fullbright Fellow affiliated with Brandeis University.
