Participate in Marketing and Outreach Opportunities

This is a network of professionals who are willing to volunteer as guest speakers to assist students with their professional development. Topics may range from job search strategies to workplace issues. Speakers are invited to share their expertise in classrooms or before student groups. Networking Night

This March event helps students and recent grads gain confidence and competence in professional networking. The event also provides an opportunity for employers to develop an educational partnership with UWM, and if desired, identify top students for potential internship, summer work or full time employment.

On-Campus Information Tables

Employers must contact the CDC for sponsorship approval before reserving information tables in the UWM Union. The Union is a great location for meeting and greeting large numbers of UWM students and to advertise part and full time positions. Prime time for activity is 11:00 am - 2:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Fees for information tables for the 2011-2012 academic year are $170 for a half-day and $220 for a full-day. The Union Reservation Team will send you a confirmation and will bill you directly.

Pre-Interview Information Sessions

If you are interviewing on campus you may want to hold an information session prior to your campus interviews. These sessions are most frequently conducted in the UWM Union the afternoon or evening before your interview date. To make these arrangements, please contact the career services office responsible for your schedule.

UWM room rental is free and equipment and catering is available for a fee. For any fees you acquire, you will be billed directly and payment via check or cash is due prior to the event.

Student Organizations

Many professional student organizations and honor societies are eager to host employer speakers to support the professional growth and job search efforts of their members. Campus Newspaper

Advertising in the UWM campus newspaper is often an effective way to let students know about your organization's employment opportunities, campus recruiting schedules and events you will be participating in on the UWM campus.
