What is the Career Ready Internship Program?
The Career Ready Internship Program is grant-funded through the Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation, and is designed to help UWM Juniors and Seniors with financial need participate in career-meaningful, PAID internships.

What can I expect if I am selected as an intern?
Summer 2014 Career Ready Internships will take place between June 2-August 22, 2014. During this period, interns can anticipate working 20 hours per week, every week. Interns will be paid through UWM, at $12 per hour for in-state (Wisconsin) internship sites, and $20 per hour for out-of-state sites. Interns will also be expected to adhere to expectations of the Career Ready program, including, but not limited to:
1) Attending a mandatory internship success training (May 12th)
2) Outlining learning goals and working with their employer to establish their expectations/responsibilities for the internship
3) Meeting once per month with a representative from the Career Ready program at UWM
4) Attending a mid-summer meeting to share their experiences with fellow interns
