Individual Advising
  • World of Work Interest Themes. Student ranks top 3 of 6 work Interest Themes (RIASEC codes) and uses Career Zone website for career research.

  • Assessing Your Work Values (pdf). Student ranks list of personal values from most important to least important. (You may save this document only if you are using Adobe Acrobat Pro. If you are using any other version of Adobe Acrobat, print the completed document.)

  • Assessing Your Skills (pdf). Student ranks list of personal skills from most important to least important. (You may save this document only if you are using Adobe Acrobat Pro. If you are using any other version of Adobe Acrobat, print the completed document.)

  • Action Verbs (pdf). Student prints pdf and identifies skills (action verbs) she has or wants to develop in college. Student can use * or numbers to identify, rank or rate skills.

  • Values Card Sort. Student selects values on cards and rates each as "most important," "some important" and "not important." Student can copy "most important" list to a word document and print. This Values Card Sort was developed by the University of Minnesota School of Continuing Education.
