Enderis Park
The neighborhood association realized that Enderis Park, part of the MPS system, could be the jewel of their neighborhood. The City was scheduled to make some major repairs and the association would raise additional funds to create a park that would be a gathering place for the diverse group of families and individuals in their neighborhood. The association asked CDS to create a visual picture of their vision through architectural and landscape drawings. The Community wanted to diversify uses, while retaining the integrity of the existing building and gateway structures. They wanted the park to provide a safe environment for younger and, in particular, older children. CDS created a skateboard ramp, enlivened the children’s wading pool area, designed an accessible entry ramp to the existing park building, and improved the appearance of the built structures in the park through manageable landscaping and attractive pathways.
