New Freshman Orientation

What Happens After Orientation?

When you leave the orientation program and have an opportunity to reflect on the whole experience, it is very possible that you will have questions. We will be sure that you leave the program with your advisors contact information, so that you can follow up with them at any time. Remember, as much as we would like you to leave the program with a final schedule, it is still possible to make changes. So, if you have any questions or concerns specific to your schedule, please do not hesitate to contact your advisor. We strongly discourage you from making any changes without first consulting with your advisor.

After orientation, you will have many exciting events to look forward to including your Freshman Conference. The College of Engineering & Applied Science requires all of our new freshmen to participate in a Freshman Conference within the first six weeks of the semester. This conference is an opportunity for each new freshman to meet one-on-one with their advisor to make sure that they are starting off on the right foot. We want to have an opportunity to become more familiar with your academic goals as well as to make you aware of all of the services available to you as a student in the college. You will receive more detailed information about Freshman Conferences at orientation.
